Higher Degree Education Programme at Clinical and Research Institute HumanitasThe combination of leading-edge research and dedicated mentoring of young students is a mission of the Clinical and Research Institute Humanitas (ICH). The Higher Education Programme is open to Italian as well as to foreign doctoral students who intend to achieve a PhD Degree in the field of biomedical research. The Programme has three main objectives- to broaden the knowledge of PhD students on the conduct, management, implications and
exploitation of scientific research
Two PhD Programmes are currently available:
PhD Programme on Experimental Pathology
PhD Programme on Immunology
The two PhD Programmes are aimed at training young scientists in experimental biomedical research, working in an international highly qualified environment. Students are directly involved in the development of a specific research project under the supervision of a Tutor and are followed in their experimental daily activities by experienced personnel. Research projects are mainly focused on the investigation of pathogenetic mechanisms and innovative diagnostic and therapeutic elements in the fields of Immunology, Inflammation and Cancer Biology. Methodologies are based on molecular and cell biology approaches, advanced imaging, genomic and post-genomic techniques. Educational activities include lecture courses, workshops and seminars delivered in English by internal and invited qualified speakers. Students are recruited through an institutional international call:
PhD Programme on Pathology and Experimental Neuropathology
PhD Programme on Immunology and Immunopathology
