 Dr. Maria Grazia
Bordoni graduated from the University of Milan as a doctor in Medicine and Surgery in
1985 and as a specialist in Vascular Surgery in 1990. During these studies she was attached to the
Institute of General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery of the University of Milan in Ospedale
Maggiore Policlinico. After this Dr. Bordoni was employed as an assistant in medicine and surgery
and then transferred to the Institute of Emergency Surgery as an Assistant Surgeon. From July
1993, she spent four years in Kenya employed by the Hospital of Wamba, Samburo District.
Returning to Italy in 1997, Dr Bordoni was employed by the Istituto Clinico
Humanits in their Vascular Surgery Unit. In 2001 she was made responsible for the Vascular
Surgery Emergency Section. In 2003, Dr. Bordoni received a Masters in Endovascular Techniques from
the University of Milano-Bicocca. In April 2004, she was appointed head of Vascular Surgery Unit
